Red vs Blue

I just found this awesome video series called Red vs Blue. It’s hilarious. So far, I can’t decide if Church or Caboose is my favorite. Though, I do love Sarge as well. 🙂 If you haven’t seen it, just Google “Red vs Blue.” It’s from Rooster Tooth and I guarantee it’s worth the hours wasted on it.

Latest Update Posted

I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forum. This week’s update goes into the battles that take place in Gundrak and the revelation of the Drakkari’s blood-gods. It also starts hinting towards a darker evil than even the dreaded Scourge…

In other news, I may go back to two updates per week next week. I’m going to have to see if I’m able to keep up with the pace of writing required. It is a lot of work and while I love nothing better than writing something that people enjoy reading, it’s still a lot of work and a lot of time sunk into it. I do have other commitments (a husband, raiding, work, normal real life stuff) and I’m going to have to see if I can balance those with Alayne’s Story better so that I can keep up with what I’ve been doing.

On top of that, I’d like to get more work done on The Unexiled. I’ve got to figure out how to add more hours to the day, though. Any help with that would be muchly appreciated.

WTB Weekend and New Feet

Holy Shit It’s Only Wednesday. Thank God it’s almost over. That means that tomorrow is Thursday and I’m taking Friday off work so yay! Only a few more days until I can rest and not have to work an insane schedule.

Also, I. hate. my. feet. My right foot in particular. Of all the things I could have inherited from my father, I got his damned feet. Not his height. Not his strength. Not his ability to fix anything at all. Nope. I got the dried-skin-on-the-feet that itches like mad. I’ve been putting ointment on it to try to keep from going insane but Christ, it’s gotten REALLY annoying.

At least I’m not running the PuGs anymore. That means that Saturday I can relax all afternoon, get caught up on stuff, and maybe even find something more effective for this godawful itching on my ankle.

Tired

I’ve not been posting much lately because I’ve been worn out from work. I had to pull long hours this past week because of a major production issue we were having. As a result, I wound up working Saturday and Sunday (unusual for me). Luckily, I get a long weekend this week or else I’d be going out of my workaholic mind.

In other news: we’re discontinuing the PuG raids. Too much work, too much time, and too much loot drama.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have an important appointment with my pillow that just cannot be postponed.

New Chapters Added

Thanks to Crit for converting the .docs to .pdfs and uploading them for me. 🙂 Chapters 29 – 31 are now up for downloading on the Alayne’s Story page. The full story file has also been updated.

Latest Update Posted

I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forum. This week’s update starts the ramp-up to Gundrak and shows that not all trolls are like the Darkspear. Also, we get to see a glimpse of Zerith’s rather…unreasonable dislike of trolls in general. A lot of people think Zerith is one of the “better” characters but, the truth is, he has his dark side. He just tends to keep better control over it than Alayne or Ger’alin (though, both of them are learning to keep theirs reined in a bit better).

Debating

I’m seriously considering keeping Alayne’s Story to one update a week.

*ducks behind a shield*

I just haven’t had as much time to spare on it as I did with Parts I and II. And, I’m coming up to a brick wall where I am now. Until Blizzard releases some information on whether or not we’ll be able to kill/defeat Arthas and what the dungeon will be like for that, I’ve got no clue how to describe it other than to take my best guess at what they might do. And then, chances are they’re going to throw another curveball at us like they did with Ulduar (though, at least, it was kind of foreshadowed a bit through quests and dungeons in the game ahead of time).

So, my question is this: if I keep it to one update a week, would people prefer Monday or Friday or another day? If I can get back to two updates per week, it will be on Monday and Friday. However, unless work slows down a good bit, I may just not have time for a long while to crank out the material to make two updates per week sustainable long-term.

Thirty One Percent

That’s the furtherest we’ve gotten General Verax down so far. 31% and then our healers were all out of mana, the eight saronite vapors had been used, and we wiped.

It’s a tricky fight. I suspect that we’re really going to have to work out a solid rotation, go more slowly on killing the vapors, and I’m going to have to get better at strafing the boss when needed.

Ah well. We’ll get him next reset. In other news, my husband’s guild (The Order of Azeroth) has gotten Yog-Saron down in 10 man.

Oh, and I’ve stumbled upon a new site to add to my reading links. Coffee With Sargeras. Check it out. It’s a riot. 🙂

Latest Update Posted

I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forum. This covers the final quest in the Drakuru quest-chain over in Zul’Drak and begins the lead-in for the next part. The next few updates may seem a little confusing time-line-wise as they cover the same time period that we’ve just gone through but from a different perspective. I’ve been trying to work on my time-shifting skills and I’m hoping that this is less confusing than other attempts I’ve made towards this end.

In other news, I’m really going to update the chapters and the full story file this weekend. I keep telling myself I need to and this weekend, I’m going to find time to do it.
