I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forums. Today’s update goes over more of Naxxramas, leading up to the final “wing” fight with Thaddius in the Construct Quarter.
My husband
Can scare the absolute crap out of me. I may kill him when he gets home.*
Today, as per usual, he sent me a message around lunch time so we could discuss what he needed to get at the store. He does this every day between noon and 2 pm without fail. I was busy with some work at the moment and told him to hold on for a second. A few minutes later, I replied to him and then waited.
A little background: my husband has been known to pass out. It doesn’t happen often. It’s been years since it happened last but the last times it did happen he was either ill or under stress. He’s just finished his dissertation and has his defense coming up. That means he’s a little stressed and worried. He wasn’t feeling great this weekend. So, today, when he stopped responding to my messages and didn’t answer the cell phone and didn’t answer the apartment phone when I called after almost three hours of no response, I started to get a little worried that he had passed out and maybe hit his head.
So, like any normal wife, I finish everything I had to do for today in about ten minutes, told my supervisor, and rushed home.
…to an empty apartment.
So, I called him. Guess what? He had a meeting with his adviser which he forgot to tell me about. He didn’t say a word over the messenger to tell me he was going. Just left it there. So, from 4:45 until 6:30, I had the joy of freaking out, imagining him home, pouring over his dissertation, making corrections, not feeling well, passing out and cracking open his skull with no one here to know or call for help and his ass was down at his university talking to his adviser.
He’s on his way home now. I may kill him when he gets here.* No jury on earth would convict.
*I would not seriously kill my husband. This is what we call “sarcasm.”

I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forum. They’re still working to clear out Naxxramas and claim it for their own.
I didn’t detail every single boss fight in the dungeon but I did manage to hit most of them in the story. I remember some of the feedback I got for skipping bosses in Sunwell Plateau and decided not to risk the same mistake again. Still, the reason I never got all of the bosses in Sunwell done is because…my guild never entered Sunwell Plateau. 🙂 The hardest raid I got into was Tempest Keep and that was a Diamster PuG raid.

I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forums. This week’s update begins the attack against Naxxramas.
Today’s update is a little late because I got absolutely swamped with demands for my attention this afternoon. By 3 pm, I was wondering “Just why and how in the hell did I become so popular?” Seriously. Most days, I hardly say twenty words. Today, my services were so in demand it was scary.
I am a horrible blogger
I am. I’ve never been good about daily updates on these things. Well, at least now I have a good excuse. See, most days, it comes down to this discussion with myself:
“Blog about something or get some work on Alayne’s Story/The Unexiled done?”
“People will kill me if I don’t have an update to post so Alayne’s Story it is!”
Yeah, I know, I’m bad. However, in my defense, the day needs more hours. I’ve started sitting out raids to get writing done so I can keep up the pace. I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to keep doing that because I really love raiding. Still, there is a bit of drama whenever I go, it seems, and since I like a life free of drama, I’d just as soon not go and not have storms break over my head because I went too often or something.
At any rate, I’m almost done with this week’s work on Alayne’s Story. I’ll probably sit out Friday’s raid as well to give myself a chance to get something done on The Unexiled. And, both the other tanks want to go and I really don’t feel like rattling the cage to try to get a spot. Easier to sit it out. Eventually, one of them will get bored. 🙂

I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forums. Now that they’ve finished cleaning up Zul’Drak, the time has finally come to turn their attentions elsewhere. Of course, Alayne’s having premonitions again. Will the others listen to her this time?
Red vs Blue
I just found this awesome video series called Red vs Blue. It’s hilarious. So far, I can’t decide if Church or Caboose is my favorite. Though, I do love Sarge as well. 🙂 If you haven’t seen it, just Google “Red vs Blue.” It’s from Rooster Tooth and I guarantee it’s worth the hours wasted on it.

I’ve just posted the latest update to Alayne’s Story over on the WoW-Europe RP forum. This week’s update goes into the battles that take place in Gundrak and the revelation of the Drakkari’s blood-gods. It also starts hinting towards a darker evil than even the dreaded Scourge…
In other news, I may go back to two updates per week next week. I’m going to have to see if I’m able to keep up with the pace of writing required. It is a lot of work and while I love nothing better than writing something that people enjoy reading, it’s still a lot of work and a lot of time sunk into it. I do have other commitments (a husband, raiding, work, normal real life stuff) and I’m going to have to see if I can balance those with Alayne’s Story better so that I can keep up with what I’ve been doing.
On top of that, I’d like to get more work done on The Unexiled. I’ve got to figure out how to add more hours to the day, though. Any help with that would be muchly appreciated.
WTB Weekend and New Feet
Holy Shit It’s Only Wednesday. Thank God it’s almost over. That means that tomorrow is Thursday and I’m taking Friday off work so yay! Only a few more days until I can rest and not have to work an insane schedule.
Also, I. hate. my. feet. My right foot in particular. Of all the things I could have inherited from my father, I got his damned feet. Not his height. Not his strength. Not his ability to fix anything at all. Nope. I got the dried-skin-on-the-feet that itches like mad. I’ve been putting ointment on it to try to keep from going insane but Christ, it’s gotten REALLY annoying.
At least I’m not running the PuGs anymore. That means that Saturday I can relax all afternoon, get caught up on stuff, and maybe even find something more effective for this godawful itching on my ankle.
Tired
I’ve not been posting much lately because I’ve been worn out from work. I had to pull long hours this past week because of a major production issue we were having. As a result, I wound up working Saturday and Sunday (unusual for me). Luckily, I get a long weekend this week or else I’d be going out of my workaholic mind.
In other news: we’re discontinuing the PuG raids. Too much work, too much time, and too much loot drama.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have an important appointment with my pillow that just cannot be postponed.
